According to Mofada, at the end of the two-day meeting of experts and representatives of responsible managers in the committees supervising academic publications hosted by Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, the election candidates were introduced and announced.

The participation of students from medical universities in the eighth election to determine the representatives of responsible managers as members of the Central Council for Supervising Academic Publications of the Ministry of Health was significant, with 105 out of a total of 137 students participating in the election.

The first and second candidates in the election, who have the main votes, were Seyyed Reza Mirhashemi from Arak University of Medical Sciences with 32 votes and Mehdi Yousefi from Jahrom University of Medical Sciences with 32 votes, and were elected as the main members of the council.

Also, according to the announcement of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Council for Student Publications of Medical Universities in the country, Seyyed Alireza Hashemi Bafghi from Tehran University of Medical Sciences was elected as an alternate member with 25 votes.

Following up on the rights of student publications at the national level, facilitating the cultural affairs of academic publications, and presenting development plans to the Central Council are among the duties of the elected representatives.
